Meet the Author

Denita McGill grew up in a small town in Georgia. As the third oldest of nine siblings, she grew up drawing and writing stories for herself and others. Some of her fondest memories include putting on plays at her school library and designing characters for them. That soon turned into writing short stories which bloomed into a life-long passion for writing and art. McGill illustrates her own stories and since then has created numerous characters and worlds to entertain children and adults alike.

In her free time when she’s not writing or making illustrations, McGill loves to cook, paint, spend time with her family, and most importantly read her bible.

Pipe Figglefoot is her first published book, and McGill plans to publish and share more of her original works in the future.
